Samuel Franco

Sam Franco has cognitive disabilities and works as a film editor. He serves on Gatepath’s Program Committee and volunteers at Habitat for Humanity and Second Harvest Food Bank.

Sam: “It inspires me to think that people today are fighting for justice and equality in the world, like superheroes from 80’s and 90’s action movies! But, instead of using violence and physical force they use other tools. They use pen, paper, and their thoughts.”

Michael Broadhurst from ArtReach cites nature as a strong inspiration for his work, and began creating art in order to represent some of his favorite animals depicting not only their external environment but also their spiritual world. In his free time Michael practices meditation in order to feel closer to the natural world.
