Stephanie Faso

Stephanie Faso has severe cerebral palsy and is a grad student. She mentors students who also use speech-generating devices. Her writing educates others about cultural attitudes toward disability. 

Nominator: “What I love about Stephanie is her natural way of engaging people. It looks effortless, but I know she is always thinking about how she can encourage someone to speak to her. She gets lots of practice mentoring others.”

Jason Monzon from the Pomeroy Center is a meticulous artist and notable for his excellent craftsmanship in creating highly-detailed, elegant landscapes and portraits with simplified line work and delicate washes of color.
